Homebirth for Sweet Beginnings
Throughout your prenatal care, I am coaching you to empower yourself to let go and give birth the way your body knows how. I am on call three weeks before the due date, and carry a cell phone at all times.
When you feel you are in labor, I will come to you as soon as you like, listen to the baby’s heartbeat periodically throughout your labor, and make sure that you are doing well. I will be involved as much as you need me and will assist your partner to help you throughout your labor and delivery.
During labor, I suggest you get into different positions to help the baby descend lower into the pelvis and help the cervix to thin and dilate. I assist you to get into different positions to push the baby out.
I assess the baby to make sure that all is well. The placenta is checked to make sure that every part is present. I bring emergency supplies and stay at least three hours after the birth of the placenta to make sure that both mother and baby are well.
I am always continuing my education and am certified in neonatal resuscitation and adult professional CPR.
